Who made the great Rakshasas look like simple mosquitoes,
And who I pray to him who is born to the God of wind.

Hindu
The word 'Hinduism ‘ does not appear anywhere in Hindu scriptures,
The proper name for Hinduism is ‘Sanatan Dharma’
Sanatan = eternal Dharma = religion.
Hinduism cannot be described as an organized religion.
It is not founded by any individual.
Hinduism is God centered and therefore one can call Hinduism as founded by God,
because the answer to the question ‘Who is behind the eternal principles and who makes them work?’ will have to be ‘Cosmic power, Divine power, God’
Hinduism is God centered whereas other religions are prophet centered.
For this reason the whole of mankind has to abide by (or is affected by) the eternal principles.
The question of acceptance or rejection of Hinduism by any individual simply does not arise, or is irrelevant. It is illogical to talk of conversion to Hinduism.
It is like saying that the laws of physics (e.g.gravity) will apply to you, only if you belong to an organization or organized religion.
The ceremonies and rituals connected with Hinduism (and other religions) are designed to cultivate increased spirituality. At advanced level of spirituality, rituals and ceremonies are dispensed with
Swami Vivekananda wrote:
……‘’If you want to be religious, enter not the gate of any organized religion.
They do a hundred times more evil than good, because they stop the growth of each one's individual development.... Religion is only between you and your God, and no third person must come between you.
Think what these organized religions have done!
What Napoleon was more terrible than those religious persecutions?
If you and I organize, we begin to hate every person. It is better not to love, if loving only means hating others. That is no love. That is hell!
If loving your own people means hating everybody else, it is the quintessence of selfishness and brutality, and the effect is that it will make you brutes’’…..

Based on my personal experience, i like to just clarify that it is not a big deal, only a few days with the master to learn rightly, and a few minutes morning , evening there on is enough for a busy professional, optionally a few minutes before lunch at the work place
but for those who want to go fast track, intensive short residential courses will help --but all without necessitating any change in style of life.
sustained regularity results in any number of positive effects on the life , which no other impositions can bring about
of course, one's choice is as per own wish , only suggestions can be given for trying out
heritage is carried forward by living the principles and ideals upheld in the passage of history--not by preserving/ glorification /identification/recognition of physicals made of brick/stone however tall/big they may be -----and attracting the tourists
all physicals will go with time however well-maintained--perhaps with a natural phenomena like seismic shake, etc
question is whether heritage is live today and what is its influence on the people and country—
---or relegated only to books/library/exhibits /statues/photos/museums picking dust and serving white ants---reminiscent of some dead past
time is fortunately a great leveler and healer
let the history be buried in the archives of time
let the geography be sunk in the unreachable depths of archaeology
yes , things have served well in their time, and have to flow down to the oceans of forgetfulness
let what is relevant to contemporary stay and serve life around
traditions and heritages should be preserved in living the values, not in book, film, brick and stone
even Scripture in the form of taal pathra, shila phalaka, manuscripted, printed, or even as a google searchable thing ---is not the thing. not real, it is old, it is backward
scripture cognizable in the consciousness of the human being in the present times is the thing.
the real thing., it is a live phenomena happening in the present time, in each person depending on the level of the sadhaka, it is as live as the present moment.. it is upward and forward.
a charminar, a tajmahal a fort, a monument , a statue, a tower, a fort can be works of beauty and symbols of glory , what can be their relevance to the more beautiful more glorious present time?
let history better stay written as lesson learnt ---in the form of a better society, more civilized, more kind, more caring, more considerate, more tolerant--with less cruelty, violence, exploitation, greed, terror.
let geography give more space for trees, animals, for agriculture, for life, shifting the priority from non living to living beings
happiness in gruhasth, it's ever a life's mystery
the first of 4 ashrams is the foundation to the great structure of life.
in the first, brahm charya , the individuals, male/female are given the technique of living in the state of brahman, ,which is the true basis of ananda which lasts in the next three states, in bliss overflowing , with life full of achievements in material and spiritual aspects.
